Kallista Dane-Surprising Their Mate

Kallista writes a pretty awesome menage series, the Tharan Warriors. The guys are identical twins who mate with one woman. Surprising Their Mate is a… not quite a sequel, more of a slice of life, related to the second book of that series. If you want to know more about the characters, go grab that one, it’s called Theirs to Tame.

The Tharan series isn’t exactly an alien abduction series, but it does have some of the same overtones to it. The Earther women on the Luna were captured by pirates who then attacked numerous worlds, including the Tharan homeworld.

Kyra was the engineer of the Luna and tried to help keep the pirates off all the women as much as possible. When the Tharans went looking for all the Earther women, she was the first one they found. Jax and Jynn found her and discovered she was their mate. They brought another alien girl named Ceres with them, and she is now their adopted daughter.

One thing we don’t always think about when we see stories like this is holidays. The human women tend to adjust to their mate’s worlds and festivities, but human holidays often get bypassed, like, oh say, Christmas. Some of us may be just fine with missing Christmas, but it’s not just the religious festival, it’s the cultural thing too. That can be really important for people who haven’t ever really had a Christmas but who are now trying to create their own family and their own traditions. That’s what’s happening with Kyra, Jax, Jynn, and Ceres. Kyra really never had a Christmas when she was a kid, but now that she’s a mother, she wants to make sure her daughter has Christmas and she wants to have it with her new mates.

So that’s what this book is about. It’s all about Kyra’s chance to share something that is important to her with her beloved mates and daughter. But more than that, this book, if you ask me, is about family and what makes a family. And I think that is perfect, and definitely perfect for Christmas.

No spoilers again today. Go out and check this out. Happy reading and enjoy the good feelings you get when you finish this.

“We have been waiting for this night a long time, my love. Tonight, I hunger to taste your juices. My brother is eager to take a kiss while I run my tongue deep in your pussy.”

His raw words sent a stab of lust through my core. It grew into a raging inferno when Jax loomed over me. His eyes devoured me as he slowly, deliberately brought his mouth to mine.

Jax was eager to “take” a kiss.” That’s what Jynn had said. Not “give” it.

And he did. From the moment our lips touched, he took. Demanded my submission with dark intensity.

I closed my eyes. Surrendered my will. He carried me to the bed, shoved my dress up to my waist, and urged my legs apart. He bent his head to kiss me again, and his lips stifled my moan when I felt Jynn’s tongue running up the inside of my thigh. He pulled away, and I gave a wild scream when Jynn rammed that tongue deep into my pussy.

“Yes. Scream for us,” Jax demanded. “You don’t have to be quiet anymore. Tell us how much you like it. Beg us to do wicked things to you.”

I shivered. They knew just where to fondle and caress me. How to make me gasp and quiver with need. More important, they knew when to assert their mastery.

“Oh, please, my lord,” I said. “Make me your slut.”

“Roll over.” Jax ordered. “Strip off that gown, then get on your knees and stick your ass high in the air. I’m going to spread you apart while my brother runs his tongue around your tight little hole to get you ready for my cock.”

It’s almost Christmas! Here’s my to-do list:

Bake cookies with my blue-haired daughter from another world. Check

Find the perfect gifts for my dominant oh-so-sexy cyborg mates. Double check

Explain holiday traditions to my alien family. Still working on it.

I never dreamed I’d be celebrating Christmas for the first time on a strange planet halfway across the galaxy.

Growing up back home on Earth, it was just another day. After my parents died, the Institute fed me, clothed me, educated me. But the administrators didn’t believe in coddling their charges. There was no Santa Claus, no tree. And definitely no presents.

Maybe that’s why I’m determined to make my first Christmas with my new family special. So far, the cookies I’ve baked either look bad or taste awful. And my warrior twins would rather have kinky Tharan sex with me than shop for gifts or make ornaments to hang on a tree.

Don’t get me wrong. I happen to love kinky Tharan sex. But I’m still learning how to be a proper submissive mate, so I spend a lot of time bending over with my skirt pulled up while my alien mates turn my bottom cheeks as red as Santa’s hat.

Who knew celebrating Christmas would be this hard?

Nicolina Martin-This Is Not Love

This Is Not Love is Nicolina Martin’s second semester freshman offering. She says that she considers it her first published book, but she does have a short story that she published. Because I’m a damn nice person and why the hell not, I’m giving away a copy over on my FB page. It closes tonight, but since I haven’t had any entries as of yet, I may expand it out. Go check it out and take your chance!

When I told Nicolina that I was going to blog her book, she told me that she was nervous. I think she’s afraid that I’m going to tear her up one side and down the other. But seriously, have any of you guys ever seen me do something like that? I’m just too nice to do that. Or something like that. Well, Nicolina, you have nothing to worry about or be nervous about. I liked the book.

So, it’s a short, quick read, so I’m not going to say a lot about it, because I don’t want to spoil anything. Here’s how the story goes.

Bree has spent the last 2 years hiding from the world. One night, her fiance decided to beat her, strangle her, and stab her. It did actually end up in her death, but she was able to be saved. Now she lives on medication and booze and hides as much as possible. But on this day, she has to go to the bank to get some stuff out of her safety deposit box. While she’s waiting, a handsome guy comes to chat her up.

Roarke is a stone cold killer. Or maybe he’s just stone cold. He feels nothing about anything. He’s gone all over the world killing people. Then he gets contacted about doing a bank robbery. While he’s at the bank, waiting for his partner to show up, he starts chatting up a beautiful woman waiting there. When everything goes to hell, he feels like he needs a hostage and grabs Bree to take her with him.

This is a dark read. When the title says that this is not love, believe it. There isn’t a whole lot of love in there. There is a lot of WTFery, a lot of dafuq did I just read, and a whole lot of I need more, but love? Nope. The story kept me on my toes and did make me wonder what was going to come next. I would really love to see more Roarke and Bree, because that would be fucking awesome.

There aren’t going to be any spoilers, but here, have a picture. Meanwhile, go check this out and happy reading!

Grace Goodwin-Ascension Saga 3, 4, & 5

So, we’re back in Grace’s Interstellar Bride Program ‘verse, and back to the story of the planet of Alera, its long missing queen, and the 3 surprise women who have lit up 3 additional spires in the Citadel, right next to the Queen’s spire.

Ascension 3 is the final part of Trinity’s story and 4 & 5 are the first two parts of Faith’s story. Grace has left us hanging at the end of the 5th, just like she did at the end of 2. She’s so mean to us. I almost wanted to cry at the end because I just can’t wait until the next one.

So, starting with 3, Trinity is now settled into the palace and Leo is pretending to be her guard, right up until someone sneaks into her bed, when he says that he is her mate and everyone is going to know. Trinity agrees with that. But that doesn’t mean that trouble is over. Sure, everyone knows that Trinity and Leo are mates, but there are still plots afoot, and they still have no clue who took the queen or where she is.

In 4, Faith is working undercover at the Jax household. The Jaxes may be one of the traitors involved in taking Queen Celene, and since no one knows what Faith looks like, she’s perfect to be there. Even if she has to work as a maid. That’s OK, she likes Lord Jax the elder, but she doesn’t get a lot of snooping time. Things happen and she meets Thor Jax who she Awakens.

In 5, Faith and Thor know that they are mates, but there are still questions about traitorous activity. Faith and Thor both think that they are the traitor. Once again, all kinds of things happen.

Yeah, I know, it seems like I’m like I’m breezing over things, and yeah, alright, I am. That’s because these are short reads and they are serials, so if I say anything about one, then I start to spoil others, and I’m trying really hard not to do that.

There are a lot of things that I like about this particular Saga. One is that the fact that the men are virgins until they meet their fated mates. I mean, not just virgins, but literally, their cock doesn’t even work until all of a sudden, boom, major lust and unending hardon. But, that doesn’t mean that they don’t know what they are doing. The Aleran males have very interesting sex ed courses, where they are taught not the birds and the bees, but how to make the birds sing and keep their ladies happy. I think that there are a lot of human men who need to know that. I can’t wait for the rest of the story to come out.

Trinity’s story will be out all as one volume in the very near future, and the same will happen with Faith and Destiny when their stories are complete.

Not too many spoilers here except for the end of 5. Goddammit. I’m not happy.

Go check out all Grace’s books. Happy reading!

Dani Rene-Stolen

So, Dani is starting a new series. A dark and intense series. One that is going to keep us on our toes, and if you want to know what’s going on, you need to read the prequel, Stolen. It’s like baseball, if you don’t have the scorecard, you won’t know any of the players, and who wants that?

If you read When the Dark Wins, you may be familiar with this story. This was Dani’s entry in it, and it was called Severed in that set. You can’t get WtDW anymore, so if you want to read it, you have to read it here. I can’t tell you if it’s expanded or not, because I didn’t go back and read it in WtDW. I have a feeling that it’s pretty much the same as in there, but there were a couple of things I don’t remember.

Drake is a Savage. Literally, his last name is Savage. He has a twin brother named Dante and his best friend is named River. The Savage family is just that. They take young women and sometimes young men and do terrible and savage things to them. The goal is to break the people they have taken and then sell them or otherwise dispose of them.

Caia is the latest Savage acquisition. They are going to keep her for 4 weeks and then handle her. The goal is to break her. And they are seriously going to try. I mean, fuck, they are really going to try. The thing is, though, Caia is strong. She’s a fighter. And Drake is drawn to her. There’s just something about her that he can’t stay away from. There’s also something about him that draws her to him.

It’s a short story, so that’s about all you are going to get here. I really like Caia, Drake, Dante, and River, and I can’t wait to see more of everyone interacting togther and the wait for the next book is going to be very frustrating to me. This is a definitely dark story, and really, when I say dark, you know that I know what I’m talking about. Because it’s short, there aren’t any spoilers under there for you to read, but I found a picture anyway, because we all know I like pictures.

Natasha Knight-Torn

A few days ago, I reviewed the first book of this series, Taken, here. Today, we have the second book in the duet, Torn. Because this is the second book of a duet, there are going to be spoilers for the first book here. I will try to avoid them as much as possible, because you know I don’t want to spoil anyone, but it’s the nature of the beast. If you haven’t read Taken yet, I highly recommend it, especially now that we have the second book out. So, if you have read the story, and you are ready for my review, take a leap off my cliff with me.

beach-blue-sky-cliff-555709.jpg

OK, if you’ve come down here, you are either ready to read my review or you like spoilers. Either way, you were warned.

We left off with Lucinda shooting Sebastian and Ethan capturing Helena, after Lucinda set her up. This does not bode well for either of them because we all know that Lucinda is a psycho. I mean, she should totally be diagnosed, because damn.

Lucinda takes Helena and puts her in a stone room somewhere underground in Venice. It’s dark, it’s dank, it’s cold, and Helena is there all alone. Well, all alone except for Lucinda and Ethan. Lucinda takes her hate out on Helena and tries to get Ethan to rape her, after all, she’s a Willow Girl, and that’s what they are there for, right? Only Ethan isn’t willing to go there because he’s still afraid of Sebastian. Which he totally should be. Then Lucinda leaves Helena down, in the dark, really all alone this time. Helena keeps counting on Sebastian to save her, but the longer she’s in the cold dark, the less hope she has of him coming for her.

Natasha has done an excellent job with this book and with the duet in general. The way that her characters interact with each other, in whatever combination, is great. She really shows the tension between Gregory and Sebastian, and how hard everything happening is on both of them. She also does a fantastic job with Lucinda. Lucinda is a predator, plain and simple. She has taken poor Ethan and groomed him into what he is. I mean, it’s not her fault that he acquired brain damage, but she’s taken advantage of that and turned him into her puppet. Of course, he could’ve tried to go against her, and we saw that he can make decisions that Lucinda doesn’t like, but still, she has twisted and groomed him. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. I said elsewhere that there was nothing that Natasha could do to redeem Lucinda for me. I mean, Lucinda could find god, become a nun, and spend the rest of her life working in a leper colony, and I would still totally hate the bitch. And that still holds true.

I can totally see more books coming out of this world, and I really hope that Natasha writes them.

FHR Dexter Chapel Mausoleum

I find the death of Sebastian’s mother to be a little too serendipitous for Lucinda. I think that she had her hand in at least his mother’s death, and possibly his father’s death as well. It’s nasty as hell that she might have killed Seb’s mom, considering that they were sisters.

I want to know who Helena’s sister Amy is mixed up with. Since she’s in the same general area as Ethan, I really want to say that it’s him, but I don’t know.

I hope we get stories for both Ethan and Gregory, because I can see how Natasha may have set them up for both.

That’s all I have to say on this one. If you like dark, go check this out. Happy reading!
